Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we deliberately don't keep.
Last updated: June 9, 2026
We're a small consultancy, and we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated. The short version: this site collects very little, we don't run a customer database behind it, and we never sell or rent anything you send us.
What we collect through the contact form
When you submit the form on our contact page, you give us your name, work email, the service you're interested in, and your message. That submission is delivered to us as an email. It is not written to a database on this site. We keep the email as long as we need it to handle your inquiry and any work that follows from it.
If you tick the newsletter box, we'll use your email for occasional updates and nothing else. Reply to any message or write to us and we'll remove you.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're a person and not a bot. Cloudflare processes some technical data (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) to make that check; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. We also apply a short-lived, per-IP rate limit to the form to block abuse. That limit lives in server memory and is discarded automatically; we don't build any lasting record from it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and where visitors come from. GA4 sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device type. We use this in aggregate only, to decide what to write and improve. You can block these cookies in your browser or with an ad blocker, and the site works fine without them. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser identifier) for security monitoring and troubleshooting. Logs rotate and are not used to profile visitors.
Blog images
Images on our blog are served from
cms.tanglewebservices.com, which we operate
ourselves. No third party is involved in serving them.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or share your contact details with anyone.
- We don't run advertising or tracking pixels from ad networks.
- We don't store form submissions in a database on this site.
- We don't use anything you send us to train AI models.
Your choices
Want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email hello@tanglewebservices.com and we'll sort it out, usually within a few business days. In practice "what we hold" is your emails to us and anything we produced while working together.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data (for example, adding a new tool), we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't quietly weaken anything described here.
